Indian Army Exams
Hundreds and thousands of Aspirants every year apply for the recruitment of soldier for general duty with Indian Army through the Exam namely Indian Army Soldier General Duty Examination. This examination is generally held four times in a year and advertised in the Employment News and other leading dailies.
Eligibility
Eligibility for Indian Army Soldier General Duty Examination that is conducted by the Indian Army for appointing general soldiers is given in this page.
General Eligibility Criteria : Unmarried male Indian citizens (including those of Nepal) are eligible.
Education: Matriculation or equivalent with Mathematics, English and Science.
Age: 16 to 21 years.
Physical Standards:
Height: 167 cms, relaxable for certain regions.
Weight: 50 kg, relaxable for certain regions.
Chest: 77/82 cm.
Medical Standards
A candidate should have robust physique and good mental health. Chest should be well developed having minimum 5 Cms expansion.
Should have normal hearing with each ear and good binocular vision in both eyes. He should be able to read 6/6 in distant vision chart with each eye.
Colour vision should be CP-III.
Should recognize red and green colours. Should have sufficient number of natural healthy gum and teeth i.e. minimum 14 dental points.
Exam Pattern
For the Indian Army Soldiers General Duty Examination, eligible candidates will be required to appear for a written test. The pattern of the written Exam and the physical fitness test is discussed in this page. Common Entrance Examination (CEE) is conducted on 4th Sunday of Jan, Mar, May, Jul. Sep & Nov. for recruitment of Soldiers.

Mathematical Aptitude
General Knowledge
Questions in these tests will be Objective Type and bilingual, i.e., in Hindi and English. Time allowed is 45 minutes and maximum marks are 100. Only those found fit will be put through aptitude test and INTFRVIEW. Final selection will be on Merit.
